Even the Buddha does not recognize the Buddha

Two video monitors show images of a Buddha-shaped candle, alight and at different stages of decay. Watching closely, the viewer realizes that they are the same candle but running in opposite chronological directions; as one is diminished, the other is completed, and the cycle then reverses itself. In installation, the screens are surrounded by mirror surfaces, bridging the surrounding space with the video picture plane.
